Our Favorite Seattle Vegan Restaurants
There are many Seattle vegan restaurants, and most places are able to accommodate requests for vegan options. While we haven’t hit every Seattle vegan restaurant out there yet, we have managed to visit a good number of them! We are always on the lookout for fun, interesting places to eat and especially love places that our omnivore family and friends enjoy, too.
Favorite Splurge: Harvest Beat
This is our favorite Seattle vegan restaurant - but it is a treat to go! All dinner seatings are a five course tasting menu that celebrates the foods that grow in the Pacific Northwest. Harvest Beat is an incredible place that focuses on expressing gratitude and honoring our food and environment. Their menu changes seasonally to highlight the foods available during specific times of the year.

Favorite Sushi: Kamakura Japanese Cuisine and Sushi
While not fully plant-based, Kamakura in Fremont has a whole section of fish-free sushi options on their menu and therefore nabs a spot on our list of favorite Seattle vegan restaurants. Their specialty rolls are dedicant and indulgent, and their basic rolls are fresh and delicious. This is a go-to for us when we have visitors in town, as our omnivore friends like it, too!
Favorite Sweet Treats: Mighty-O and Frankie and Jo’s
Mighty-O is a local organic, vegan donut chain in Seattle, though you may not know it! All of their products are free from animal-derived products…really, the whole menu is plant-based. They also have mini donuts for your doggo.
Frankie and Jo’s is another local Seattle chain serving up plant-based ice cream. Their flavors are truly unique and incredibly tasty. Also, they ship, so you can share the love with friends and family (or yourself, if you are just visiting!).
Favorite Fast Food: Cycle Dogs
Cycle Dogs is well-known in the Seattle vegan restaurant scene. They started as a food-truck and have since moved into the space once occupied by No Bones Beach Club to keep the vegan corner of NW Market and 17th going strong! They have delicious brunch options, and Fast Food Fridays are a must-try (I’ll take a Big Mick, please and thank you!).

Favorite Cocktails and Bites: Life on Mars
Life on Mars is a beautiful space and among the best of all the Seattle vegan restaurants - just our opinion. It can get crowded and there is sometimes a line, but it is worth the wait! Yummy cocktails, yummy food - what more could you want? Also a gem for audiophiles.

Favorite Take Out: Araya’s Place
We absolutely love this Seattle vegan restaurant mainstay. There are three locations (Bellevue, Madison Valley and University District) that all have a distinctive atmosphere but serve up the same delicious food. Araya’s has an extensive menu (but really, I always get the same thing!) so our omnivore friends have always found something they like as well.
Favorite Gem: Floret
This is not a joke: Floret serves up delicious vegan airport food. We are so grateful for this cafe and actually look forward to our Sea-Tac visits because of it! They are owned by Cafe Flora, a vegetarian restaurant in Madison Valley (sidenote: they make AMAZING vegan cinnamon rolls). When traveling, you can typically find us waiting in line for our vegan breakfast burrito and vegan Caesar salad wrap. FYI - the portions are sizable (as well as delicious!) which makes that airport price tag a little easier to swallow.

Favorite “Yet-to-Go”: Cafe Juanita
Okay, while not actually in our city limits and not solely vegan, it is close enough on both accounts for an honorary spot on our list. There are always those places we come across and say “We MUST go there!” - and this is one of them. They offer tasting menus for the omnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan - how great is that? If you have been here, let us know what you think!
